That same week Speaker Paul Ryan responded by revising the SOTU address to include an Opioid fighting plug. Two days later the President pitched it to heart string perfection with a national audience watching – and bam. $6B was earmarked and used to fight Opioid Deaths. Remember those spots? Deaths went down by over 40,000 the next two years.
