As you are likely aware, Fentanyl deaths are destroying American families in record numbers. Last year, over-doses and unwitting fentanyl poisonings topped 100,000 for the second year in a row.

Unfortunately, High Schoolers are not well enough aware of Fentanyl’s danger; the majority of these deaths are young people dying from Fentanyl.

Fentanyl Fathers – a growing group of bereaved parents – has been successfully presenting Fentanyl’s danger to High School Assemblies in multiple states. My understanding is they are resolved to present to all 25,000+ High Schools in America.

The key to scaling their powerful and well received 45 minute assembly presentation is recruiting bereaved parent presenters in every school district in the country. With over 600,000 bereaved parents created in the last three years, Fentanyl Fathers knows they have more than enough available willing volunteers.

Most people agree that every High Schooler deserves to get the “heads up” about Fentanyl. By writing this letter of support for The Fentanyl Father’s grant application, I am supporting their powerfully effective Fentanyl awareness education program.

I am asking you to join me in this responsibility to our youth by supporting Fentanyl Fathers with a grant to help them complete this urgent, ambitious, and necessary duty.

Together, we can save the lives of our youth from preventable deaths. Many students do not get a second chance after they make that one fatal mistake of experimenting with what they think is Xanax, Percocet, Adderall or Oxycontin, among others. They are being lied to by dealers who have made these fake pills ubiquitously available online. The pills are often delivered to their front doors.

Research from surveys taken at Fentanyl Father events reveals that once students are aware that 77% of non-prescribed drugs are fake – fentanyl & fatal, they abstain.

Let’s support Fentanyl Father’s mission and warn our youth away from fentanyl.
